Really, I just titled it that for the alliteration. But it’s true – the video crew has returned from shooting the Percussive Arts Society Internation Convention in Columbus, OH. We were there to shoot a performance by the Northwestern University Percussion Ensemble, who we’ve been following for the last few weeks as they prepare for this culminating event. We shot their rehearsal prior to the performance, as well as the performance itself – don’t be confused by the empty seats in some of the photos, they drew a huge crowd even at 10am.
On a more personal note – it’s been really amazing to follow this ensemble. The level of musicianship that they exhibit is simply astounding. I encourage everyone to check out our documentary on this incredible group, which should premiere on the Big Ten Network and online sometime in January.
